Simply not interested.
From research, I was able to find out that there are young generation non-voters who don’t vote because of their lack of interest. Thus, there are people who think that their votes are not important because they believe that their vote won't give an impact to the result. The problem here is that many people think the same way. One and each of people's votes matter. Using ovals ballot marks as the main visual, I wanted to convey a message that everyone’s vote can make a difference.
Each oval represents a vote from the ballots people fill out for the election. Filled ovals are votes that are counted, and empty ovals are votes that are not. The key to this campaign is dramatic contrast.
Social Media
The social media campaign utilizes a scene from the PSA video of a balanced scale tipping as soon as a vote lands onto the scale. This simple yet powerful image shows clear, strong visual of my message to the audiences. Rather using complex words and datas, I aimed to convey my words through a single dynamic image.
Merchandise
I focused on having an interactive, inclusive experience with the voters through the merchandises. The design consists of empty ovals for people to fill up by hand as an indication that they have voted. More ovals filled up shows that more people have participated in voting for the election. These interactive merchandises are designed to tackle the social and inclusive nature of many young generations.
